The good thing is that fall in Boise means some of the most exciting and delicious events of the entire year! Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming family friendly activities you can attend in and around town this fall. 

 

Hyde Park Street Fair. September 13th, 14th, and 15th

This is a pretty action packed weekend but it will be worth every second! First, on Friday, September 13th starting at 4pm you have the amazing 40th annual Hyde Park Street Fair which continues on all through the weekend. They are ringing in their 40th anniversary with a bang! There will be over 100 vendors and dozens of entertainers for the whole family to enjoy. Plus there will be activities like a free yoga class provided by Hollywood Market Yoga. The free class is for everyone on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. near the Community Stage; please bring your own yoga mat. 

 

There’s even a special 40th anniversary soda! ERTH Beverage Company describes its special edition “Squirrel Punch” as being inspired by staples of a North End summer: blackberry, lavender, and local raw honey with hints of mint, sage, and lemon. The Buy Idaho 33rd Annual Reception, Trade Show, Silent Auction. October 1

If you want to support local Idaho businesses and have a great time, then this is the event for you! Join local business owners as they set up vendor booths to showcase their goods and services and take part in an exciting silent auction. They will also have appetizers and drinks and guest speakers from around the community. This is a fantastic event that will be fun for the whole family. The Idaho Botanical Garden’s Fall Harvest Festival. October 4th, 5th, and 6th

A prominent jewel in Boise’s crown for decades, the Idaho Botanical Garden is hosting its annual Fall Harvest Festival at their grounds off of Old Penitentiary Road. Come by for a special “adults night” on October 4th at 5:30pm to enjoy a more grown up oriented night which includes plenty of adult beverages, a scarecrow stroll along their garden path, local vendor food truck delights, and live music. You won’t want to miss it! 

 

Starting on the 5th at 12pm you can enjoy the more family friendly side of the harvest festival. There will be an artisan market, harvest arts and crafts for kids, and a straw and corn maze! There will be more live music, and food and beverages from local food trucks and local breweries and wineries as well. This is going to be a must-see for the whole family.
